Temporary Christmas Vacancies

Due to production requirements we have an exciting opportunity for a number of Operatives to join the team on a temporary basis with a possibility of longer term contracts/perm roles for suitable candidates.

5 week guaranteed contracts are being offered to start on 12th November 2018.

 

*Free return transport will be provided for the duration of the contract from Longton and Hanley bus stations if required.

 

 

GRADE/RATE: HOURLY PAID – £8.56

 

HOURS: DAYS, ON A ROTATING SHIFT PATTERN (06:00 TO 14:00 & 14:00 TO 22:00) MONDAY TO FRIDAY.

 

KEY TASKS & DUTIES:

The successful candidates will need to be able to operate within a challenging but rewarding factory environment that is physically demanding and can entail repetitive tasks.  You should possess a can do attitude, be willing to work and enjoy being part of a team. In this role, you will responsible for the efficient operation of any task performed in the production areas, working within specified production, presentation, housekeeping and hygiene standards as directed by a Zone Controller or Zone Leader to ensure effective and safe packing of cheese.

 

You will be an effective team member ensuring that all of the line operation is working to full capacity and helping minimise the waste of raw materials and packaging. You will also observe and understand the company policies and procedures relating to sickness absence, holidays, timekeeping, breaks, housekeeping, safety and hygiene.

 

PERSONAL QUALITIES  & EXPERIENCE:

For this role, good verbal, written and numerical skills are essential.

Having the capability to adhere to strict standards of quality and accuracy and to systems and procedures is a must, alongside working in a methodical, systematic and precise manner.

Risk awareness and concern for the impact of all your actions will be traits respected in the successful candidate.
